Monday 05 May 2008

I upped my workout number from ten to fifteen today. White it only added five minutes apiece to walking and biking, it added ten repetitions to my weights and bands.

I think I did very well today. I did get the shakes and have to eat some peanuts before I could go walk, but I didn’t let that stop me. I’m glad of it; on my walk, I got to see a cat sticking his (her?) head through the blinds in the middle of a window. There must have bee a couch there. It was a very cute brown or grey tabby.

Now that I’m walking around the island instead of the playground, I’m enjoying myself more. The playground is so small that it felt overly repetitious walking around it. I think I may advance to the circular nature trail next week; I went around the island four or five times today. I think I’ll be ready to advance by then.

Robert and I are considering purchasing a compact treadmill for the apartment. I want one so badly, but I’m not currently sure where we would put it. We’re (sadly) nowhere near making a purchase, but we need a place for one before we can, anyway.

So of course I came up with an idea (even if it is an odd one) as I was writing the previous paragraph. I’m sure I’ll forget to ask Robert, but I wonder if he would agree to putting a treadmill in the Master Bedroom. I may have just the spot...

I really have a treadmill sitting (walking?) on my mind. I want to be able to walk, jog, or run when the weather is too extreme for me to be outside. I can’t just not exercise for the entire peak of Summer and Winter, whenever it snows or rains, or when the air pollution level is high.
