12:56 p.m.
It’s hard to believe the week has gone by so quickly. It seems like it was just yesterday that I was typing my journal for last week. Regardless, a lot seems to have happened in one week.
Robert and I were in a minor wreck yesterday. Two left turns at the same time just don’t work. Robert was trying to turn in, and the lady didn’t realize it. She said she couldn’t see his blinker, which is believable since it was sunny. There were no injuries, and the car appears to be only superficially damaged. I have no doubts that this will all be settled peacefully.
I paid my tuition for school yesterday as well. $191.20 is not a lot to pay for two classes, and we were able to do it out of pocket. That makes me happy, since there will be a little less school related debt for me to pay off when I’ve graduated.
I’ve decided that I’m going to plan to go straight through to get my BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing), but if I change my mind later, then that’s fine. I want to take the appropriate classes so that I can go straight through if I so choose.
Robert and I are slowly working on our house-wide decluttering again. We’ve officially only gotten through three rooms: the coat closet, the master closet, and the master bedroom. The bags full of donations are trying to spill out of the coat closet when we open the door. We even have a few towels we’re going to try to donate to the shelter. (The best part is that we can walk the towels over if they want them.) The master restroom is the next room to declutter. I can say all I want that I don’t think we’ll donate much from that room, but I also didn’t think I’d be donating multiple bags of lounge and cleaning clothes. I guess I shouldn’t make expectations at this point.
All that’s left before school is to buy my books and parking permit. That’s all I have to do, anyway. I want to search out my classrooms, skim my books, and meet my teachers, if possible. I should buy some more pens and a few other school supplies. I have a feeling that there’s more I’ll want to do, but I can’t think of it at the moment. That is, except for practicing driving there and back. I will only be going to the medical campus this term, so that’s the only one I need to practice getting to for now. (A major plus about this nursing school is that it appears to be a medical nursing school, so there is no mention in ANY of the course descriptions about cat dissection. I would have had to, had I chosen to become a veterinary technician.)
Another plus to easing into school slowly is that I’ll still have time to study Welsh. I’m intentionally taking it slow so that I don’t confuse or overwhelm myself. It’s nice to know I’ll still have time for it for quite a while to come.
